Guitar Internet Lessons - What Are Your Choices?

There are thousands of online guitar lessons available today. So how do you know which ones the real deal? First of all beware of aggressive sales tactics. I'm not going to spend much time discussing them. They are very easy to spot right away. Usually they would say something incredible like for instance, "learn guitar overnight", "amaze your friends in just seven days!" and more. Well unless you have magic fingers with developed calluses, it's pretty much impossible. If it was that easy, we would have a lot more guitarists. Right?! Now I know that it's not easy to learn how to play guitar, let alone find easy guitar lessons for beginners. So how do you find the good lessons?

It shouldn't be that difficult to find good high quality online lessons for guitar. You just have to know what to look for. You'll want to ask yourself a few questions as you're reviewing what's available. Is their objective clear? Are the lessons outlined step by step? Has the instructor or instructors received ample education? Do they have tools available to help me learn? Is there a forum or contact where I can get help? Are the teaching methods updated? Are their lessons printable? If you can answer yes to all these questions, then you have found the right lessons.

There are also many sites that offer to teach you how to play guitar for free. Well, as exciting as it sounds, these lessons might actually ruin your whole learning guitar experience. More than likely these are not absolutely free. There is something usually attached. Many high quality guitar sites offer free lessons before you have to sign up. That way you can just learn the basics and see if you want to play the guitar. I would not recommend going down this road. Not only you will waste your time, but you can easily become frustrated and quit before you even began.
