When alternate picking on guitar should I rest my pinky finger on the body of the guitar?
Should I rest the pinky finger on body of the guitar, like underneath the hi E string? I would like to practice fast alternate picking with a guitar pluck, but am not sure if I should or shouldnt rest the pinky finger lightly while picking... Ive checked out a few guitar lesson videos, but I cannot see clearly how the teachers go about picking the guitar... I am also no where near a guitar teacher at the moment = ( So I hope someone here at Yahoo! has my answer. If any help to my question im playing electric guitar. Thanks in Advance

How can I strum the guitar???
I really have difficulties in strumming....I always repeat the song I'm trying to play but I strum it differently...I'm almost giving up but I didn't I keep strumming but it really never came close to the right rythymn of the song...I also watched so many guitar lesson videos and still can't do it...but I'm still trying..... I use classic guitar....does it matter if the instructor in the video is using acoustic guitar??? please help me......please.... thanks!!!!!!
