Beginner learning guitar...?
I've just bought an electric guitar yesterday, I worked out how to play a simple version of Smoke on the Water. I'm trying to learn the main riff of Iron Man, I've been playing for about 4 hours this morning and I can play it alright if I go slowly. Am I learning this too slow, how long should it take? My main problems are that I'm not sure if when you're fretting, do you put your fingers directly on the frets, and how hard do you push. Also, how do you pick chords, do you use two fingers or just strike them both quickly with the pick?
