The Many Different Kinds of Guitars!
There are so many different kinds of guitars out there! In the Acoustic section alone there are
Acoustic/Electric guitars- The basic Acoustic Guitar with a twist. Either inside or out there will be a cable or cable attachment to which you can hook you acoustic guitar into an amp! So with the Acoustic/Electric you get the best of both worlds. These guitars come in a 6 and 12 string style. You can also find these in specially designed jazz or classical style. And or course there are always those made for left handed players.
Acoustic 6 string- A hollow or semi hollow guitar body holding the maximum of 6 strings.
Acoustic 12 string- A hollow or semi hollow guitar body holding the maximum of 12 strings
Baby Acoustics in 6 or 12 string- These are guitars designed for either people who prefer using smaller guitars, children, or traveling guitarists who don't want to cramp people too badly.
Now for the Electric Bad boys....there are the same ones as the acoustic listed above (6 string, 12 string, and baby).
The Electric guitars- are however not hollow bodied. They are all...you guessed it electrical! :) To use an electric guitar (well to hear it anyway), you need an amplifier and a cable to attach the two together. The sound comes out of the amp and not the actual guitar, as it is with the acoustic.
Electric Basses- are the electric guitars with either 4, 5, or even 6, and 7 strings. What makes this guitar different from the regualar electric guitar is the thickness of the strings, the bass is a much lower, deeper sound, and therefore much thicker strings.
Bass- These low, beauties also come in Electric/Acoustic or just the plain Acoustic.
